Nature Moncton November Meeting Presentation

Nature Moncton November Meeting Presentation
By Nature Moncton

At every national park, a resource conservation team works tirelessly behind the scenes, keeping a close eye on the health of protected ecosystems. These people focus their efforts on research collaborations, species recovery, habitat restoration, and the monitoring of various species and environmental factors. This talk will pull back the curtain to outline the conservation projects and programs currently underway at Kouchibouguac National Park, while highlighting the area’s rich natural heritage.

David Mazerolle is an ecologist at Parks Canada and has played an active role in Atlantic Canada’s conservation community for over 25 years. He has extensive experience in his field and wears many hats, volunteering to share much of his hard-earned knowledge. He spent several years working as a botanist with the ACCDC (Atlantic Canada Conservation Data Center), traveling the Atlantic provinces to build an inventory of the region’s flora. He is also president of the New Brunswick Botany Club, helping coordinate field trips for the group and leading some himself.

Don’t miss this illuminating presentation on the research and work we may not know about that enable us to fully enjoy Kouchibouguac.

All are welcome, Nature Moncton member or not.
