Reversing Falls Guided Hike with Patrick Sorensen of Stonehammer Geopark

Join us for an exciting and educational guided hike through the landscapes of the Reversing Falls area, led by Patrick Sorensen from Stonehammer Geopark. We will explore topics such as tectonic plates, glacial till/moraines, the concept of Two Eyed Seeing, and the awe-inspiring Bay of Fundy tides.

The Reversing Falls Guided Hike will take us on a journey from the Fallsview Park viewing area to the top of Wolastoq Park. Along the way, we will learn about the geological marvels that shape the region.

To cover the costs associated with this event, the Club kindly requests a donation of $5 per person. Your contribution will greatly support our efforts in organizing future events and providing valuable educational experiences for our community.

The hike will begin at the Fallsview Park area, offering a picturesque view of the rapids. From there, we will go on a scenic walk along the roads leading to the viewing platform at the bridge that spans the falls. Finally, our journey concludes at Wolastoq Park. The terrain includes a slight uphill climb, but nothing too strenuous. Alternatively, participants with limited mobility have the option to drive from Fallsview Park to the bridge parking and commence the hike from there. We will otherwise leave our vehicles at Fallsview Park.
