Class 1 Air Quality Operating Approval issued under the Clean Air Act

Effective December 14, 2021, the 180-day review process begins on the renewal of the Approval to Operate for the Arauco Canada Limited wood composite products manufacturing mill complex located in St. Stephen, New Brunswick.

Comments received by January 25, 2022, will be included in the interim summary made available mid-way through the 120-day comment period, which runs from December 14, 2021 to April 12, 2022.

Stephanie Seneff, Ph.D, MIT Senior Research Scientist, will talk about her understanding of the role that deuterium plays in the disease process.  She will describe how deuterium (heavy hydrogen) is a fascinating natural element, and how organisms have learned to manage it skillfully, but unfortunately via proteins that are highly sensitive to disruption by glyphosate.

Science Day is an annual event hosted by the Miramichi Salmon Association and the Miramichi Watershed Management Committee. The theme of our 2022 Science Day is Salmon Conservation in a Changing Climate. Hear about the innovative work being done by various organizations throughout Atlantic Canada, including the University of New Brunswick, Canada Rivers Institute, Parks Canada, Ducks Unlimited, Department of Natural Resources, and more! This year's Science Day will take place from 10am until 3pm AST in Fredericton and online via ZOOM.

Be a part of the fun as hundreds of eager Saint John residents come out to help clean our beautiful streams and wetlands for the health and well-being of humans and wildlife alike. This year, the headquarters for this event will be held at The Irving Oil Field House.
