Join us to plant trees at Queen Square West and connect with nature. Volunteers will plant 25 large trees and 20 shrubs, and will assist with maintenance of the existing trees and rain garden (including pulling weeds and mulching). Tree Canada experts and volunteers will be there to provide support and answer your tree questions. We’ll also provide gloves and shovels!
This event is completely FREE!
How you'll be making an impact The open green space of this urban park is well used by the community for playing field sports, lounging, enjoying the ocean view, and walking dogs. In addition to being a valuable green space this park also serves as a community gathering point, with multiple community events happening throughout the year. To support the ongoing use of this park, additional trees and shrubs will be planted to replace fallen trees and increase the amount of shade and native biodiversity in the park.
