Commission on Hydraulic Fracturing, Public Consultation, March 2015 – May 2016

In December 2014, the government followed up on its election platform and announced a moratorium for fracking in N.B. In March 2015, they appointed the Commission on Hydraulic Fracturing to study the issue and in February 2016 the Commission released their findings. On May 27, 2016, government responded to the recommendations of the Commission by announcing an indefinite moratorium.
