Environmental groups from across New Brunswick are interested in improving the public’s understanding of environmental issues and of the political parties’ positions on these issues in advance of the upcoming election. The NBEN gathered 26 questions from environmental groups in the province and put them to each political party with a deadline of August 31. Responses were as follows:
  • Liberal: Did not answer the questions in the survey but instead sent a two-page written response that addressed some of the survey questions.
  • Progressive Conservative: Did not answer the questions in the survey but instead sent a short letter.
  • Green Party: Responded to all survey questions.
  • New Democratic Party: Has not yet responded to the survey.
  • People’s Alliance: Has not yet responded to the survey.
