Promoting Biodiversity: Tree Seed Conservation for Restoration
You are invited to join our upcoming webinar, where we will delve into the intricacies of tree seed collection specifically tailored for New Brunswick's native species. Our featured expert, Donnie Mcphee from the National Tree Seed Centre, will guide participants through an insightful session on the methods employed for collecting and preserving tree seeds from our region's diverse native species.
Throughout this virtual presentation, attendees will gain valuable insights into some techniques required for successful tree seed collection, as well as knowledge of long-term storage for these vital tree and shrub seeds. Explore the strategies for maintaining their viability over extended periods, ensuring a sustainable reservoir for future ecological initiatives. Mcphee will also elaborate on proper propagation techniques, providing practical knowledge to actively contribute to the conservation and proliferation of our native flora.
This webinar is tailored for restoration specialists, nursery managers, landowners and gardeners. We hope to offer a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge of tree seed collection, preservation, and propagation for conservation efforts while fostering a deeper connection to the rich biodiversity of New Brunswick.
