The 2021 edition of this program will allow each of the ten professional artists selected to spend five days in provincial parks and tourism sites during the summer. These residencies will allow artists to develop their practice and engage with the public in a natural setting during the challenging reality of COVID-19.
The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is teaming up with the New Brunswick Invasive Species Council (NBISC) to host a webinar on identifying a few key wetland and wet habitat invasive plant species in the Maritimes. The webinar will also include an introduction to iNaturalist, an online app used by many citizen-science volunteers, that will help NCC, and provincial invasive species networks identify and map the spread of invasive plant species across the region in efforts to combat their spread.
