Towards Resilient Woodlots: Risk Assessment and Mitigation - Workshop #1 – Mactaquac Provincial Park
By New Brunswick Federation of Woodlot OwnersLanguage: English
This workshop will equip you with the knowledge and tools you need to adapt your forest management practices to climate-related risks.
The day will begin with a presentation during which we will explore critical risks that can disrupt forest ecosystems in a changing climate. In the afternoon, we will take a walk in the park to conduct on-site case studies. We will assess various risks and discuss potential mitigation strategies.
Two foresters from the York-Sunbury-Charlotte Forest Products Marketing Board will be guiding us through the workshop:
- Anne MacKnight – Silviculture Manager, Registered Professional Forester
- Chris Higgins – Registered Professional Foreste
