Program for the Restoration and creation of wetlands and hydric environments in Quebec

Program for the Restoration and creation of wetlands and hydric environments in Quebec The Program for the Restoration and Creation of Wetlands and Hydric Environment (PRCMHH) aims to finance preliminary studies and projects for the restoration and creation of functional and sustainable wetlands and hydric environments. It makes it possible to:
  1. Contribute to achieving the objective of no net loss of wetlands and bodies of water enshrined in the Loi concernant la conservation des milieux humides et hydriques;
  2. Redistribute the amounts in the Regional county municipalities (RCMs) and watersheds where financial contributions have been made to the State Environment and Water Domain Protection Fund for the inevitable loss of wetlands and water bodies;
  3. Develop expertise in ecological and sustainable restoration specific to these essential environments.
This financial assistance is divided into two parts:
  1. Component 1 – Support for carrying out preliminary studies for projects to restore or create wetlands and bodies of water;
  2. Component 2 – Support for carrying out projects to restore or create wetlands and hydric environment.
Mr. Sébastien Amodeo will present the new features of the 2nd normative framework of the PRCMHH and will review the 1st Program (2019-2022).
