Join Ducks Unlimited Canada at the Kennebecasis Committee’s Social for Conservation for an afternoon that will feature finger foods, raffles and also a silent auction with numerous prizes to be won including Ducks Unlimited Canada merchandise. 

Infrastructure Canada’s Natural Infrastructure Fund (NIF) Small Projects Stream opened on July 14, 2022, and is accepting applications until September 27, 2022 at 3:00 pm (EDT).

 

This past Monday, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Steven Guilbeault and the Minister of Natural Resources, Jonathan Wilkinson, opened consultations on a key commitment in the federal 2030 Emissions Reduction Plan: capping and cutting emissions from the oil and gas sector.

Join volunteer Frank Camm and Nature Trust staff as we work together to plant 100 bur oak trees on the beautiful Noloqonokek Nature Preserve!

In 2021, hundreds of acorns were collected by Mr. Camm and volunteers. Volunteers grew the seeds in air pruning boxes in their backyards, with the overall goal of growing them to a sustainable size, to place on our nature preserves.

This tree species is one of the last old-growth tree species present on the floodplains in NB, and their populations are continuously dwindling. Bur oaks are a valuable tree in many ways, due to their hardiness and ability to survive for hundreds of years, as well as their leaves and acorns offering a food source for many species.

Come join us in restoring the land at Noloqonokek while providing an ideal habitat for wildlife!

The Saint John Naturalists Club is celebrating 60 years!

To celebrate this important milestone, you are invited to the Club's 60th Anniversary celebration.
