The annual call for applications for the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program is open.  Employment and Social Development Canada will be accepting applications until January 25, 2022.

The application period for Habitat Stewardship Program projects commencing in 2022-2023 is now open and will close on January 25th, 2022 at 4pm (AST).

The 2 Billion Trees Program (2BT) is part of the Government of Canada's broader approach to nature-based climate solutions. A Call for Proposals (CFP) for the 2 Billion Trees (2BT) program is now open to organizations interested in planting trees. The deadline to apply for this round of funding is February 17, 2022, 14:00 EST.

The proposed Single-Use Plastics Prohibition Regulations, were published in the Canada Gazette, Part I on December 25, 2021, and are open for a 70-day public comment period ending on March 5, 2022.

The comments received during this period will be considered when developing the final regulations.

Class 1 Air Quality Operating Approval issued under the Clean Air Act

Effective December 14, 2021, the 180-day review process begins on the renewal of the Approval to Operate for the Arauco Canada Limited wood composite products manufacturing mill complex located in St. Stephen, New Brunswick.

Comments received by January 25, 2022, will be included in the interim summary made available mid-way through the 120-day comment period, which runs from December 14, 2021 to April 12, 2022.
