Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME) will be hosting a New Brunswick Small Modular Reactor (SMR) Supply Chain Event this fall focused on how suppliers from Atlantic Canada can participate in the advanced SMR opportunity.
The event will feature speakers from NB Power, ARC Canada, and Moltex Energy, along with representatives from the Government of Canada and the Government of New Brunswick, as they provide an update on progress, timelines, and vision for advanced SMR development and deployment in New Brunswick and Canada.
During the event, specific focus will be given to how participants can be involved, through facilitated Breakout Sessions and opportunities to engage with vendors.
This four course professional certificate provides advanced training for those working in landscape architecture, landscape design and management, forestry, agrology, biology, mining, ecological restoration, and environmental practice.

The Climate Action and Awareness Fund (CAAF) has opened a Community-based climate action Request for Proposals (RFP). The objective of this RFP is to support projects that will develop knowledge, tools and/or skills that engage communities in climate action. Community-based climate action projects should help to support Canada’s goals for climate action, such as net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The deadline for submitting a proposal is 15:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) on January 6, 2022.
Environment and Climate Change Canada's (ECCC) EcoAction Community Funding Program is now accepting applications for funding until January 19, 2022, at 12:00 PST / 15:00 EST for projects beginning summer 2022. Funding is available for new projects that engage Canadians and clearly demonstrate measurable, positive results related to the key Environmental Priority: Fresh Water.
