Interested in learning more about local plants and how to identify them? Join us for an exploration of the amazing plant biodiversity at a unique floodplain along Trout Creek! Plant enthusiasts and amateurs welcome, this will be a simple nature walk meant to spread awareness about biodiversity and encourage citizen science through the use of iNaturalist. Please register using the link below!

iNaturalist is a worldwide biodiversity database that helps researchers, conservationists, and organizations like us better understand species populations/distribution. The app is FREE for download and great for on-the-go plant identification.

Feel free to come with the iNaturalist app pre-downloaded on your phone, and we will help you learn how to use it as we keep our eyes open for as many different plant species as we can find! You are also welcome to attend without the app and still enjoy the walk and exploration of riparian plants!

WEAR RUBBER BOOTS as we plan to cross a shallow section of the Creek, and we'll also be doing a bit of light bush-whacking so long sleeves and pants are recommended.
