Manchester Bird Sanctuary Tour with Jim Wilson and ACAP Saint John

Meet at the dead end of Edgehill Row (off Manchester Avenue in West Saint John)

 

Led by Jim Wilson, an expert birder and dedicated naturalist, this tour will introduce you to the bird species and diverse habitats that make this urban green space a vital refuge for wildlife. The Manchester Bird Sanctuary, donated to the City of Saint John in 1975, has been carefully preserved to support forest-dwelling and migratory birds. ACAP Saint John has worked in recent years to update habitat studies, restore forest cover, and install educational signage to promote conservation.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to explore a unique protected natural area, learn about its birdlife, and discover how community efforts continue to safeguard this sanctuary.
