Bryce Coon, Session Moderator//modérateur de la séance
Bryce joined Earthday.org in 2023. Before joining Earthday.org, Bryce worked as a high school educator for over ten years and enjoyed finding opportunities to incorporate climate education into all his courses, including economics, psychology, and government. Throughout his teaching career, Bryce participated in international fellowships where he studied climate education and policy in Asia, Europe, and Oceania. Bryce has a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary social sciences from Michigan State University and a master's in curriculum and instruction from the American College of Education.//Bryce Coon s’est joint à EarthDay.org en 2023. Avant cela, il a travaillé pendant plus de dix ans comme enseignant au secondaire, où il saisissait toutes les occasions d’intégrer l’éducation climatique à ses cours, qu’il s’agisse d’économie, de psychologie ou d’administration publique.
Tout au long de sa carrière en enseignement, M. Coon a participé à des programmes internationaux de bourses de recherche qui lui ont permis d’étudier l’éducation climatique et les politiques environnementales en Asie, en Europe et en Océanie. Il est titulaire d’un baccalauréat en sciences sociales interdisciplinaires de la Michigan State University et d’une maîtrise en programmes d’études et enseignement du American College of Education.

An organizational executive, author and educator, she served as Founding National Director of the K-12 interdisciplinary environment education programs, Project Learning Tree and Project WILD. She is Co-Founder and CEO Emerita of the Children & Nature Network (www.childrenandnature.org) and Executive Director of the Nature-based Leadership Institute at Antioch University New England. // Dirigeante d’organisme, autrice et éducatrice, Cheryl Charles a été la première directrice nationale des programmes interdisciplinaires d’éducation à l’environnement pour les élèves de la maternelle à la 12e année pour Project Learning Tree et Project WILD.
Elle est cofondatrice et directrice générale émérite du Children & Nature Network (www.childrenandnature.org), ainsi que directrice administrative de l’Institut du leadership axé sur la nature à l’Université Antioch de la Nouvelle-Angleterre.
Maria Amparo Godoy (‘Amparo’ or ‘Ampi’)
Hola!!! My name is Amparo Godoy and I am a 10th grade student at The Global School, in Argentina. My favourite subjects at school are maths, literature and biology. In my free time, I like to do anything related to music, but especially playing the electric guitar. It's something that I've grown a fan of at the beginning of this year. I live in Buenos Aires, which is the capital of my country. The thing I like the most about Argentina is the people. We will always welcome you with a smile and treat you as an all-time friend. I care a lot about the environment, especially because I know that climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution are a problem that affects everyone, and it is essential to learn how to take action.

Katherine Collin is the founder of the Campus Biodiversity Network, a consortium of college and university campuses in Quebec and beyond monitoring biodiversity on their campus greenspaces. Launched in 2022, the network now has over 70 institutional members across five continents. A third-generation female birder, Katherine Collin coordinates the Sustainability Major and teaches literature at Vanier College, where she and a team of faculty promote general access to nature for students across the disciplines. Locally in Greater Montreal, she has organized the City Nature Challenge (Défi nature urbaine) for Greater Montrea| /Tiohtià:ke since 2021 and sits on the boards of several Quebec conservation organizations, notably Bird Protection Quebec and Technoparc Oiseaux.// Katherine Collin est la fondatrice du Réseau biodiversité au campus, un consortium de cégeps et d’universités du Québec et d’ailleurs qui surveillent la biodiversité des espaces verts de leurs établissements. Lancé en 2022, le réseau compte aujourd’hui plus de 70 membres répartis sur cinq continents.
Ornithologue de troisième génération, Mme Collin coordonne le programme de majeure en développement durable et enseigne la littérature au Cégep Vanier, où elle collabore avec une équipe de professeurs pour favoriser l’accès à la nature auprès du corps étudiant de toutes les disciplines. À l’échelle locale, dans la grande région de Montréal, elle organise le Défi nature urbaine depuis 2021 et siège aux conseils d’administration de plusieurs organismes de conservation du Québec, notamment Oiseaux Québec et Technoparc Oiseaux.
