Effective Letter Writing
Letter writing may seem outdated, but even with our modern technology and social media networks, it continues to be an important advocacy tool. It is personal and direct, showcases public support and will, and creates a physical receipt of your interaction with your elected leaders, unlike a phone call. Join the Youth Environmental Action Network (YEAN) and the Climate Reality Project for a hands-on workshop where you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to craft compelling letters and run successful advocacy campaigns to influence public policy and community issues. At the end of the workshop, you will be given time to write a letter to one of your local leaders in support of An Act Respecting the Right To A Healthy Environment.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided! Please bring an electronic device if you prefer to type your letter. Paper, pens, envelopes, and stamps will be provided if you prefer to write your letter by hand.
Register yourself now! (And your friends too!)
