The Tipping Point: When Climate Adaptation Becomes Essential

Edmundston Convention Centre

This bilingual event, featuring live interpretation, will be of interest to planners, community staff, local non-governmental organizations, health advocates, representatives of provincial and municipal governments, industry, academics and citizens who wish to contribute to the development of a resilient New Brunswick.

This year’s conference will look at when adaptation becomes essential to addressing the climate issues our communities are facing. When do we have no choice but to determine how to become resilient in the face of heat waves, drought, rising seas, flooding, food insecurity, and more? What are the health effects on the people?

Infrastructure is changing faster than the ground it sits on

Climate change, rapid development and evolving regulations are reshaping how we design, build and maintain infrastructure. This conference brings together practitioners from across Atlantic Canada to share practical solutions, new technologies and real project case studies that protect communities and the environment.
