Beausoleil Community Cleanup

The Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group (GDDPC), in collaboration with the Beausoleil Rural Community, invites you to a “Clean Up Your Shore” event on Saturday, May 2, 2026, starting at 9 a.m. in Beausoleil.

We are organizing a community cleanup (beach sweep) to protect the environment in celebration of Earth Day on April 22. Since its beginning, the GDDPC and residents of the Cocagne watershed have collected over 22,700 pounds of waste, thereby preventing pollution of our waterways.

Join us to clean up our beaches, riverbanks, marshes, ditches, parks, and more to beautify the community, help wildlife, and protect our health! Please dress for the weather; rubber boots are recommended. Supplies (bags, gloves, pickup sticks), snacks, and pizza will be provided at 4 locations; see below between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Someone will guide you to your assigned area, and volunteers with trucks will help transport the waste to the containers.

• École Notre-Dame, 3860 Route 115, Notre-Dame de Kent, NB E4V 2J2
• Grande-Digue Hunting and Fishing Club, 135 Albert Melanson in Shediac River
• Club du Village, 102 Cocagne Cross Rd in Cocagne
• Notre Centre, 468 Route 530, Grande-Digue, NB E4R 5K3

Containers will be set up from April 20 to May 4 in the Beausoleil rural community to collect waste from the community cleanup: at the Notre-Dame Community Center, at Notre Centre in Grande-Digue, and at the GDDPC in Cocagne. However, all hazardous or bulky waste must be taken to the Mobile Eco-depots.

Join us for the community cleanup, and let’s have a great time restoring the Cocagne River watershed! Gather your families, neighbors, and friends. Come out in large numbers!

The GDDPC’s mission is to facilitate citizen engagement to ensure the sustainability of communities of Beausoleil, Maple Hills and Champdoré located in the Cocagne watershed.
