Mark your calendars,

Bill 23, An Act Respecting the Right to a Healthy Environment was tabled at the last session of the legislature on December 12th, 2025.

On March 26th, 2026 at 2pm, the Legislative Assembly will gather to debate the bill and pass it into law.

Our health is inextricably linked to the environment, and this bill, based on provincial legislation from Ontario, Quebec, and the Northwest Territories, would be the strongest Canada has seen and could be the framework for other provinces to follow suit.

This bill is designed to protect the health of the people of New Brunswick and does align with current government priorities around healthcare, giving citizens the means to advocate for their health and environment, protecting generations to come.

Be part of this momentous time in New Brunswick legislative history. Your presence during the debate shows our politicians that this bill matters to New Brunswickers.
