 Meet Shinaid:
 Through clay\
, Fredericton-based artist Shinaid Jane Grace\, relates to our natural wor
ld. Within her business\, EarthSol Ceramics\, designs are inspired by natu
ral patterns\, colours\, and especially fungi. Shinaid tends toward sculpt
ural perspectives on functional forms— think chanterelles growing out of
teapots. This naturalist artist’s work points toward interconnectedness
and aims to elevate human connection with nature.
 Participants will use
their hands to create coil-made cups which can be pressed with botanicals
. Working with a variety of native flora\, participants will be encouraged
to explore texture through plant life and clay and learn more about the s
ustainable and renewable practice of ceramics as an art form.
