Over the past months, over 9000 graves containing the remains of indigenous children have been found at former residential school sites across Canada with many more schools to be searched. These children were taken from their families and became victims of the residential school system. As we march the path of reconciliation, the public and government are being called to action. We have compiled some resources and support below for members and the public.
A National Indian Residential School Crisis Line has been set up to provide support for former Residential School students. You can access emotional and crisis referral services by calling 24-Hour National Crisis Line: 1-866-925-4419
