Le 4 décembre, Côtes en santé N.-B. accueillera une session d'engagement communautaire pour la région Chaleur. Le contenu comprendra une introduction au programme Côtes en santé ainsi qu'une discussion animée sur les dunes et les plages.

On December 11, Healthy Coasts NB will be hosting a community engagement session for the Chaleur region. Content will include an introduction to the Healthy Coasts program as well as a facilitated discussion on dunes and beaches. 

With special guest and Land Acknowlegement from Marie Kryszko, Elder and Traditional Knowledge keeper.

Are you from Pointe-Sapin or the surrounding community? Do you care about the Pointe-Sapin coast? Join Healthy Coasts NB for a discussion about beaches in the region, what is being done to help coastal communities and wildlife, and how you can get involved!

Are you from the Bay of Chaleur region? Do you like to venture out to the beach? Join the Healthy Coasts NB team for their next virtual community engagement session on coastal trails and boardwalks, Saturday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. The session includes a mapping exercise and a performance by the Oinpegitjoig Soaring Spirit Drummers.

Join CPAWS New Brunswick for Celebrating Our Coast: an Ocean Festival Event in St. Andrews, on Saturday May 21st running from 11-2 at the Sunbury Shores Arts and Nature Center. Come and walk through the gallery, learn more about CPAWS NB's work to protect coastal and ocean areas, and celebrate the coastal land we live on!

Come join the NBEN, Nature NB, Birds Canada, and restoration experts from Helping Nature Heal to learn about living shorelines and take part in a hands-on volunteer effort to restore the coast at Youghall Beach in Bathurst, New Brunswick. Help plant trees and shrubs and build other natural erosion protection measures that will work to restore the living shoreline. These measures not only provide protection against storm surges, flooding, and erosion, but also create an important habitat for the endangered Bank Swallow species. This living shoreline restoration is being completed before the Bank Swallows migrate back to New Brunswick for the spring season to support the health of their population.
