 ou to a full-day\, in person workshop at the Mapleton Rotary Lodge in Monc
 ton\, NB to discuss current work\, challenges\, and opportunities related 
 to ghost gear mitigation and retrieval work in New Brunswick and the Atlan
 tic region.Objectives of the Workshop:
 
 Highlight and celebrate ghost 
 gear mitigation and retrieval work led by Indigenous and non-Indigenous or
 ganizations in New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada
 Explore what organizati
 ons are active on ghost gear mitigation and removal efforts to identify op
 portunities to increase efficiencies\;
 Identify steps to better coordina
 te between active organizations and address root causes of ghost gear on t
 he coast
 Review key regulatory and policy considerations to best inform 
 timing and execution of clean ups and disposal
 Share lessons learned and
  ideas on how to expand ghost gear mitigation and removal efforts\, includ
 ing large-scale clean ups.
