The Great Food Challende Digital Event Series Part 1 - Food Security and the global Recovery

Join Climate Action and the FAO for Part 1 of The Great Food Challenge digital event series

Food insecurity is set to double in 2020. COVID-19 has put developing regions at the greatest risk and highlighted growing inequalities within more developed regions.

But as governments around the world implement recovery plans and fiscal responses to the pandemic, it’s critical that countries and businesses across the agri-value chain strengthen cooperation and pursue an inclusive, resilient recovery.

Part 1 of Climate Action and the FAO’s three-part digital event series explores what actions and intervention can be taken by governments and businesses to stop widening global and regional inequalities within our global food systems.

What will be discussed?
  • What are the major challenges our global food systems face in a post-pandemic world?
  • Can government and business intervention help prevent a looming food crisis?
  • How can we maintain security and fluidity in the global supply chain as countries implement recovery policies and plans?
  • What technologies and innovation will help us rebuild a more resilient food system and prevent food insecurity from decimating both developed and developing regions?
