Percival River Cleanup
Saturday 27 July 2019 - 10:00am - Saturday 27 July 2019 02:00pm

The Nature Conservancy of Canada will be holding a Conservation Volunteers event in Percival River, PEI. We will hike into the wetland and shoreline area of the property to collect garbage and marine debris. Along the way you will track and record the items you find to share with the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. This data contributes to ocean conservation research across Canada and around the world!

Your efforts will reduce the risks that shoreline litter pose on wildlife, such as choking, ingestion, and entanglement. As part of the day, will also get to experience a rare sight in PEI - beautiful forested rivers and wetlands! Birders can get excited too, as we will have the chance to see migratory shorebirds and waterfowl that use the area.
