Lincoln Wetland Trailblazer
Saturday 13 July 2019 - 09:00am - Saturday 13 July 2019 01:00pm

Join NCC at our Conservation Volunteers event at the Lincoln Wetland Nature Reserve. Volunteers will be helping spread woodchips, trim trees and shrubs, remove invasive plants, and clean out debris washed up on the trail from flooding.

This short trail runs through a wetland and ends at the Saint John River, revealing some magnificent old-growth silver maple riparian forest. This trail is also excellent for birding, especially this time of year! Songbirds, waterfowl, marsh birds, and raptors can all be spotted along the trail. The students even put up nest boxes for tree swallows, so be on the lookout for those! At the end of the event, everyone can cool down in the school and enjoy a BBQ lunch! Vegetarian options will be available.
